See You Tomorrow by OniChild See You Tomorrow by OniChild
"See you...tomorrow...OK?"
---

Inspired by Theophany's wonderful teaser of his album, "Time's End" [link] , I took one of my favorite moments from the game, Majora's Mask, and illustrated it into a short comic strip.
(I did use the actual text, but rearranged some of it to fit the 5 panels)

Here is a short comic of the sisters, Cremia and Romani on the final night.

Hope you like it!

---

Thank you Zelda Dungeon for the fan art highlight!

Sweeet Hylia... this scene... Cremia knows they are going to die, and she didn´t want to break her sister heart in her final day, she takes in all the suferring she could endure by seeing the End... and yet, the only one that can save them have only mere minutes, are really minutes all you need?.

But seriously thought, this is a awesome comic, and cute and sad at the same time ;3

Cremia's my favorite character in the entire game :) She's got the best personality and conflicts, I think.
Anju & Kafei's story can eat it compared to the issues Cremia has on her hands, haha

You captured the final moments of these two great. When Cremia said the sleep with me tonight line, it motivated me even more to stop Majora. The Anju and Kafei sidequest was what really did it. They reunite in the town underneath the moon as it's about to crash down. With that haunting theme playing.

:)

I had the Final Day track by Theophany playing the entire time I was drawing this comic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6kxCo…
I personally loved this scene better than the Anju and Kafei sub plot/ending.  As much as I love romance, this felt more real to me than the to-be-wed couple.  The other characters I love after the Romani and Cremia scene, are the Swordsman (on the last day) and the Postman (also on the last day).  There's so much character in those interactions and you get a real sense of the world's plight.  That letter...

I was still quite young when I played MM, I never noticed all those moments... it never occured to me that the NPCs might act differently on the last day. Grabbin' feelz :iconlouisplz:

Someone play Song of Time already?! D:

Yeah, Majora definitely had the best sense of character, and by that I mean personality and development

Zelda needs more of that :)

Cremia cradled her little sister to her bosom, trying, but failing to keep her tears from flowing.  After all the struggling she went through to keep her family's ranch afloat, this was how it would end; getting crushed flat by a stupid giant piece of rock.  She could feel the earth quaking from the moon's onslaught.  It was almost the end.  Cremia wept silently, the tears freely flowing.  If only she could've found someplace safe to keep Romani, to at least spare her from the horrible death that was only moments away.  She shut her eyes tightly, bracing as best as she could for the impact, though she knew it was no use.

And then.....

...nothing much happened.

Cremia slowly pried one eye open.  She was still there.  So was the ranch.  Most importantly, so was Romani.  With both eyes open, she looked out the window, wondering why the moon hadn't destroyed Termina.  Far into the distance, she could faintly make out four massive shapes holding the moon in place.  She couldn't believe her eyes; The tale of the Four Giants was true.  Suddenly, the giants began to struggle  as the moon attempted to resume it's ghastly descent, and her heart leaped to her throat.  Were even the Giants no match for the moon??  Did she foolishly get her hopes up, only for them to be dashed brutally against harsh reality?

But then, another miracle occurred.  The moon...faded away.  She settled back into her bed, too shocked to even react.  The Giants had saved their land.  And yet, deep in her heart, she knew that the boy...no, the MAN, in the silly green hat, somehow had something to do with it.  Her tears of despair became tears of joy.  Her ranch; her Romani had survived.

Well, the picture was so heart-rending.  I wanted to remind everyone that there IS a happy ending to Majora's Mask.

...Well, for most of the people involved, that is.

So I'll be honest - I actually don't like Majora's Mask. I feel like if it weren't a Zelda game, and it tried to be more original and not like Ocarina of Time, it would be fantastic.

That said, this was the one moment in the game (besides Anju and Kafei) that really got to me when I played it. I always wondered what Cremia did to keep little Romani unaware of what was going on. Thanks for giving us this beautifully bittersweet piece that portrays it so well. Great job!

:iconcryforeverplz: All of my feels, man. The whole game is full of this potential tragedy. And you can save all of them and turn the tragedies into heartwarming moments. That's one of the many reasons why this is my favorite Zelda game. ;u;
